Cobalt ore location space engineers1/19/2024 ![]() Oxygen level: variable High at low altitudes. The pasted-in planet does not contain the NPC buildings from the scenario. Only those who have purchased the Frostbite Pack DLC are able to spawn Triton manually into pre-update worlds. The Frostbite Pack DLC also contains the Frostbite scenario, a challenging multiplayer adventure which is set on Triton. Every Engineer can land on the planet and play on it without purchasing any DLC. Since shortly after the free Frostbite update, Triton is included when you create a custom game or scenario based off the Star System template. Because of this, Triton is considered an easy, if exotic spawn start. The planet consists of Ice lakes, rolling snow planes, and snowy mountains, making it almost ideal for most types of rovers and VTOLs (Vertical Take Off and Landing craft). ![]() Snow and ice is abundant, making it ideal for using hydrogen based space craft. At this time it is unknown what the atmospheric altitude is. Triton does not support life, however, at most altitudes, Oxygen atmospheric density is high. In space, you recognise this pale planet because it has no moons, similar to its desert sibling Pertam. In real life, Triton is the largest moon of the planet Neptune. I would recommend doing this with at least a mining ship for maximum efficiency but I suppose you could pull it off with just a hand drill. In Space Engineers, Triton is an icy terrestrial planet with every ore except Uranium and Platinum. Your gonna need to dig really really deep but eventually your ore detector should pick it up. So those Nickel deposits that look super suspect because they are not accompanied by any other metal? Yeah, that's a good spot to start digging for Platinum if you don't have a large ore detector. I am sure there are exceptions and places where it can be found by itself but I am just providing my observations. I have found that Platinum is frequently found accompanied by nickel. Most deposits other than Iron are found alongside other metals. What if I don't have a large ore detector or want to build one? You can't find the platinum because it is 100+ meters below the surface and will need a large ore detector to find it. Why can't I find it? I have scoured the surface for it and I have not even found a single bit. I was relieved to find out when they say "platinum is not found on planets" they are not referring to the moon (stupid I know because the moon isn't a planet but I wanted to be sure). To start I am making this because I myself was looking for platinum and was wondering if it got the uranium treatment in that it was moved exclusively to asteroids. This is entirely made by my own observations and I am 100% sure there are exceptions that are not listed here. Its light gray colour makes it easy to mistake it for Platinum Ore. **Disclaimer I am making this as a guide for those like me that had issues finding Platinum in vanilla survival. Silver Ore is a naturally occurring, uncommon ore found in deep veins within planets, moons, and asteroids.
